I’m a Babywearer!!!
Kate from the HE group showed me how to carry Indi in my ring sling & the mei tai I made. I wore him for at least an hour walking around the shops in the mei tai pictured below, AND he fell asleep in there!
I’m so chuffed! We were able to get around easily, no bumping into stuff with a pram for us anymore ![]()
Admittedly though, my shoulders started aching towards the end - I’ll have to see if it’s just the way I had the mei tai strapped on.
I bought a Moby wrap which *should* arrive by Tuesday, the colour I chose was called Indigo!

Lovely mei tai - She looks very snug in there! However I’m very surprised it made your shoulders ache; I have been known to wear Anna for hours on end with no pains… I’ve even taken her on a day out round London in it!
Were the straps bunched up on your shoulders? I find that if I bunch them up too much it can begin to ache a little - but if I spread them out nicely across my shoulders so that the straps lay evenly from my neck to just off the edge of my shoulder (down my arms a little) it won’t ache at all - I can barely feel the weight of wearing her! - Don’t know if this is possible with your wrap?
If you do continue to get pains or problems with your slings, I’d reccomend getting a close baby carrier http://closebabycarrier.com - I have one and it’s perfect. I can wear Anna for hours with no problems
Best wishes
You look lovely btw! x

Thanks Tash.
I don’t feel the weight of Indi (who’s a boy by the way!!!), I think I’m wearing the straps too low on my shoulders. Will be making a new one with adjustments anyway.
I already bought a Moby wrap last week which is like yours, should be getting it today or tomorrow.
