All warm & snug!
Indi & me wore the MaM babywearing coat for the first time on Friday. I’m sick of using the pram &
Indi just wants to be held after 10 minutes in it anyway!
Friday was cold enough to wear the coat, I left the fleece neck cover thingy at home but wished I’d taken it as there was a bitter wind blowing right onto my chest and then onto Indi. Luckily he fell asleep quite quickly and I was able to position him out of the wind.
I’m going to attempt to wear it again today when we walk Sky, hoping the weather folk are wrong & we won’t have torrential rains!
I’ll be wellied up & taking an umbrella no matter what, don’t know how rain resistant the coat is yet - probably just for light showers. I’ll also have to wear my stripey hat… yay! It’s been two years since I wore it! (Last winter I was pregnant & immune to the cold!)
Indigo has started reaching for me when I go to pick him up and after he’s fed up with us playing on the floor he’ll put his arms around me like a hug! I know it’s not a hug, he’s trying to use me as a prop, but it’s still nice!
I shall post photo’s of our walk if the weather makes it possible/Jess & dad want to accompany me, just don’t laugh at my hat, or my wellies, or the ridiculous look of said hat & wellies together!
Indigo’s Beach Day!
Here’s Indi in his Aunty Jess’ car on our way to the beach.

We’re driving away really fast after using the facilities and not buying anything!
Ducklings!

Sunflowers!

Yay, we’re at the beach finally!

Sky loves the beach and it’s her first time there with Mum’s dogs - Fen Erin & Oscar
“Hmm, I don’t know about this…”

Firstly, a nappy change…

… A cheesy pout…

… And then a walk on the sand

Sandy feet!

Gazing out to sea

A feed before heading home

We have rescue a bumblebee first though

Indi, Mummy & Aunty Jess get stuck behind a tractor on the way home, of course!
Peek-A-Boo in EllaRoo!
Here’s a photo of our new wrap, named ‘Roo’. Indigo seems to like it!

Photo Filled Post
We had a fun weekend visiting Maen Llia the standing stone in Brecon, Harold’s stones in Trellech and Tintern Abbey in Monmouth. And here’s some photos in that order

Indigo & Skylar Suss Eachother Out
In a few years time these two will be able to jump & roll in mud puddles together!

Me, my baby & my dog
It’s a bit bright but here’s a photo Dad took of us
Oh & I’m wearing my new Moby outside for the first time!

I’m a Babywearer!!!
Kate from the HE group showed me how to carry Indi in my ring sling & the mei tai I made. I wore him for at least an hour walking around the shops in the mei tai pictured below, AND he fell asleep in there!
I’m so chuffed! We were able to get around easily, no bumping into stuff with a pram for us anymore ![]()
Admittedly though, my shoulders started aching towards the end - I’ll have to see if it’s just the way I had the mei tai strapped on.
I bought a Moby wrap which *should* arrive by Tuesday, the colour I chose was called Indigo!

Attempt At Arty-Farty Photos!
I should’ve used my better camera but when you’ve got a co-operative baby you grab what you can as quick as you can!
Indigo is two months old tomorrow, can you believe how quickly time has passed? I’m already dreading the days of meeting new girlfriends and him leaving home ![]()
So, I’m relishing these baby days and from now on will record as much as possible.

One for my sis
My little sister, Jess, is an art teacher living far, far away in Devon, sorry - Somerset! (lucky bugger!) We don’t get to see her as often as we’d like (every day!) and the signal in her part of the world is awful so even phone calls are few & far between.
Anyway, Jess - we miss you loads!
Here’s a photo of my beautiful sister & her nephew

So Cute & Enviro Friendly Too!
Mum showed me how to fold a terry nappy & I just *had* to take a photo of Indi…

Ah! He looks so cute!
I looked up the prices of terry nappies & they’re so expensive, then you have to buy covers too! I remembered that Jeff bought me some value face cloths from Asda to take to the hospital and they were just the right density for cloth nappies so had a look on the website & there’s value bath towels. I could make two nappies out of one towel. So if I wanted 12, instead of paying £30 for ‘real’ terry nappies I could pay less than £10!
And THEN I realised, the covers I have for the prefolds easily fit over terry nappies! And I could use some of the prefolds as washable wipes! Hooray! I might try to sell the medium & larger prefold nappies on ebay but I don’t think they’ll sell.
I found a ‘recipe’ for the liquid to use with the wipes and will try to find a large margerine or ice cream tub to store them in.
So there you go, saving money and the environment and he looks too cute ![]()
I’m getting there!
