Ah, Friday…
Not that it makes much difference being a housewife and all! Jeff’s been signed off work for a week, maybe two. Doctor told him to “get out and have some fun” so he’s been doing DIY, of course. Today he made a mesh gate for the back door to be able to let fresh air through the house without all the cats escaping, yesterday he sound-proofed the front bedroom window and the front door. Now, come April, we can stay in the front bedroom without fear of drunkards waking up the baby, hooray!
Got midwife appointment on Wednesday, hope last months’ midwife is there again. If it is the same woman I’ll be asking if it’s possible to keep her as my midwife instead of Carol. I haven’t got anything to compare the two but Carol won’t be back until I’m around 38 weeks and I’d really prefer knowing who’s coming into my home when the time comes! I got Jeff to measure my belly the way the midwives do and it measured about 36cm… apparently that 36 weeks, I’m supposed to be measuring 32/33 weeks max! Oh dear! Must try to not think about that until Wednesday, really hope we measured wrongly!!
Baby had a quiet day today but is moving around a lot right now. Andrea told me she heard that the times the baby is most active in the womb may indicate the times baby will be most active when born. If that’s true then we have a little night owl!

99 days to go until my due date! We’re out of the triple numbers and into doubles!
I cannot believe how quick it has gone. In the beginning it felt like forever waiting for the weeks to pass, people would tell me how quick it would go and I didn’t believe them. I’m an impatient sort anyway, waiting has never been my strong point! But now there’s just 99 days. That’s 14 weeks, 1 day!
Exciting but scary at the same time. In just over 3 months a new person will come into the world and our lives. It won’t just be me, Jeff, 17 cats and a dog anymore. A new baby, another chapter in our lives… oh no, I’m starting to sound like a Hallmark card!
